Community
Sounds for Sisterhood works alongside community organisations, women’s services, and care providers to offer gentle, one-to-one sessions to people who may benefit from quiet, restorative support.
Sessions can take place in a private studio in the Batemans Bay area, or be offered as a mobile service within community and care settings.
Through a pay-it-forward model, each paid session helps make these sessions available to others who may not otherwise be able to access this kind of support.
This includes people navigating difficult life circumstances, as well as those in aged care, dementia support, respite, nursing, or palliative care environments.
How our Pay-it-forward model works
Paid sessions support access
When someone books a paid session, part of that fee helps fund complimentary sessions for people in the community.
Shared through trusted partners
Community organisations can offer sessions to the people they support, without cost to the organisation.
Private and
simple
Sessions can be arranged directly, or with the support of a carer or service.
Supporting people in community and care settings
Sessions are one-to-one and offered either in-studio or as a mobile service, depending on what is most appropriate for the individual or setting.
This may include support within women’s services, including shelters and crisis accommodation, as well as community organisations and outreach settings.
Sessions can also be offered on-site in aged care homes, dementia care units, nursing wards, respite, or palliative environments.
The approach is gentle and non-invasive, making it suitable for people experiencing stress, overwhelm, fatigue, cognitive changes, or life-limiting illness.
The focus is on rest, nervous system settling, and sensory support. Nothing is asked of the person receiving the session. They can simply rest and receive.
Let's connect
Sounds for Sisterhood is a small and growing initiative. I am currently building relationships with community organisations, women’s services, and care providers who feel this kind of support could benefit the people they work with.
If you feel this offering may be of value to the people you support, you are warmly invited to book a short conversation to explore how we might work together.
